Blue Eyed Blonde: Cover Band

Typically, I'm a fan of singer-songwriter types
so you're not likely to see me lining-up for tickets for a cover band.
That said, I might make an exception for Blue Eyed Blonde.
St. John's-based Blue Eyed Blonde
raid the pop music canon and serve-up sweaty dancefloors
full of some of the most fun pop songs ever recorded.
They take on Madonna, Abba and even Shania Twain.
Check out their website to download
their live versions of Madonna's Material Girl
and the Talk Talk/No Doubt cover of It's My Life recorded at Club One.
There's also a live video of their performance of Blondie's One Way or Another.
While I've never seen them,
they seem to have dumb fun down cold
and if you're looking for a good time,
I'd imagine you could do worse than a Blue Eyed Blonde show.

I'm not big on cover bands but I can't get enough of these guys. They just have this certain energy with the audience... and they capture that manic 'we've just eaten 12 cans of Kool-aid sugar" feel of 80s pop music.

last names to know who Debbie and Toni-Marie are and I can find my way from Happy Adventure to Misery Point in the fog. My morning comes a half hour earlier and any day without 'RDF' is good. I've seen a mummer, tasted toutons and the image conjured by the word Dildo might be different for me than you because I'm a product of this place.
