Twittering in Newfoundland
April 14, 2008
Once upon a time
one could only wish to be a fly one the wall,
but now thanks to the internet and society's growing inability
to differentiate between public and private, the dream is a reality.
Twitter, and websites like it,
have created a whole new world of micro blogging --
'Twitterers' offer 140 character updates on whatever
happens to be happening in their worlds. It's strangely engaging.
I mean, sure, taken on an individual basis it is minutia gone mad but
taken collectively the posts offer a strange voyeuristic
glimpse into the world around us.
For a first-hand glimpse
of micro-blogging visit the friend list
of Twitter user Newfoundland, it offers a collection
of over 20 local micro bloggers -- you might
even find someone you know.

I don't need...
last names to know who Debbie and Toni-Marie are and I can find my way from Happy Adventure to Misery Point in the fog. My morning comes a half hour earlier and any day without 'RDF' is good. I've seen a mummer, tasted toutons and the image conjured by the word Dildo might be different for me than you because I'm a product of this place.
